Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated: November 7, 2026
This policy covers website requests, browser-based tools, correspondence and the planned use of Google AdSense. You can read the summary below, jump to a topic, or contact us directly about a privacy question.
- Calculator arithmetic runs in your browser; a website visit still creates technical network requests.
- Shared estimate links contain numerical inputs visible to anyone with the link.
- Advertising and a CMP have not been activated in the current implementation.
- When ads are enabled, Google and other providers may process information and use device technologies subject to applicable choices.
- Privacy contact: Bau3yvzAn6995@gmail.com.
1. Scope and how to contact us
This Privacy & Cookie Policy explains how information is handled in connection with JICWH.com, including its home improvement calculators, project guides and website communications. References to “JICWH,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to the publisher of this website. This policy covers the website, not the independent websites you may reach through advertisements, reference links or photo credits.
You can contact us about privacy at Bau3yvzAn6995@gmail.com. Please identify the relevant page or feature and explain your question. You do not need to send a home address, construction documents or a detailed description of your property to ask an ordinary website question. Avoid including sensitive personal information in a calculator entry or email unless it is necessary for your request.
2. Current services and planned advertising
JICWH provides browser-based calculators and editorial guides without requiring an account. The current site implementation does not include a user database, public comments, a contact submission form, a shopping checkout or an analytics integration. Calculation inputs are handled as described below. Website hosting still involves ordinary network requests even when you do not use a calculator.
We plan to support the website through Google AdSense. Advertising code and a consent management platform have not been activated in the current implementation. Sections below headed “when advertising is enabled” explain the processing associated with that planned integration; they do not mean that advertising technology is already running. The applicable consent notice, vendor information and this policy should reflect the services actually enabled when advertising begins.
3. Information categories and sources
Information associated with a website visit falls into several different categories. Technical request information originates from your browser and network connection. Project inputs originate from the values you enter in a tool. Correspondence originates from information you choose to email. Advertising information, if advertising is enabled, may originate from ad requests, your interactions with ads and advertising technologies subject to the relevant choices.
We do not ask for your name, email address, postal address or account credentials to calculate materials. A numerical input can nevertheless reveal something about a project, particularly when combined with a shared link or a message. Do not include identifying notes or private information in a URL, and do not send screenshots that reveal unrelated personal information when reporting an issue.
4. Calculator inputs and temporary comparisons
Interactive calculations run in JavaScript in your browser. The calculator code does not submit your dimensions, material prices or calculated estimates to a JICWH project database. Visiting a tool page downloads the page, scripts, styles and images needed to use it; that download is separate from the arithmetic performed on your inputs.
The scenario-comparison feature holds a comparison in the page’s temporary memory during the visit. It is not an online project account or a durable saved estimate. Reloading or leaving the page can discard that comparison. Browser extensions, browser synchronization, device backups and software on your device may have their own access or storage behavior outside our calculator code.
6. Hosting, delivery and security logs
A visit sends information needed to deliver the website, which may include an IP address, requested path, request time, browser or device headers, response status and referring-page information where the browser supplies it. Hosting, network, content-delivery and security providers may process these requests and maintain operational records under their own service arrangements.
Such records can support delivery, error diagnosis, abuse prevention and website security. They are distinct from a saved list of your calculator inputs. The exact logging settings and storage locations depend on the production hosting services in use. We do not claim that visiting a static website is anonymous, and we do not claim that private browsing prevents a hosting provider from receiving the network information needed to respond.
8. Google AdSense and third-party advertising, when enabled
When Google AdSense advertising is enabled, ad delivery may cause Google and participating advertising providers to receive information such as the visited page URL, IP address, browser details and identifiers. Third parties may place or read cookies, use web beacons or process IP addresses in connection with serving ads. Advertising cookies can help show ads based on previous visits to this and other websites, subject to applicable choices and settings.
See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services, the Google Privacy Policy and Google advertising technologies information. These explain Google’s processing separately from JICWH’s local calculations. An advertisement is an external service interaction; clicking it may take you to an advertiser with its own policy.
9. Personalized, contextual and limited advertising
Personalized advertising can use information associated with earlier activity to select relevant ads. Contextual advertising can instead use factors such as the page topic or a general location. Google describes how these choices affect processing in its partner-sites information. Turning personalization off does not necessarily stop every ad request or all processing for delivery, measurement or fraud prevention.
A non-personalized or limited-ad configuration should not be understood as a promise that no data is processed or no device technology is used. The exact behavior depends on the advertising product, configuration, region, consent choices and provider policies. The active consent interface is the place to inspect the purposes and providers presented for that visit; a numerical estimate from a calculator does not require you to provide a personal profile.
10. Consent management for the EEA, UK and Switzerland
Google requires an appropriate Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework for personalized advertising to visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Where required, the configured message must request choices for relevant storage and personal-data use before the corresponding processing occurs. A link to this policy is not, by itself, an affirmative consent choice.
When a consent interface is enabled, use its options to inspect disclosed purposes, vendors and available accept or reject choices. Continuing to read a guide is not described here as agreement to every advertising purpose. The current site does not yet display an operational CMP. If a consent message expected for your visit is missing or inaccessible once ads are active, contact us so the issue can be investigated. See Google’s information about European regulations messages.
11. Managing preferences and withdrawing consent
Once a CMP is active, the site’s consent or privacy-options control should let you revisit the available choices. Changing a choice applies to processing covered by that control and does not automatically remove every earlier record held by an independent provider. Withdrawal of consent does not change the lawfulness of processing that occurred before the withdrawal where that principle applies.
You can also manage Google ad personalization through My Ad Center. Industry resources include Digital Advertising Alliance choices, Network Advertising Initiative choices and Your Online Choices. Availability and effects differ by provider and region. Provider-level choices and the site’s CMP serve different functions and may both be relevant.
12. Browser controls and preference persistence
Most browsers let you view or delete cookies, restrict third-party cookies and manage site storage. Deleting preference storage may mean that a consent message appears again. An opt-out saved in a cookie may also be lost when that cookie is cleared. Choices made in one browser, profile or device may not automatically apply elsewhere.
Private browsing is not a substitute for a consent choice. It may limit what your browser retains after the session, but sites and service providers still receive requests during that session. Blocking scripts can affect calculator operation as well as advertising. The site’s formulas and written examples remain available in its HTML, while entering your own values requires the calculator script.
13. Email correspondence
If you email us, the message may include your address, display name, subject, message body, attachments and the technical information handled by email systems. We use correspondence to respond to enquiries, investigate reported issues and manage the relevant request. The current site does not offer a newsletter sign-up, and emailing a question is not described as subscribing you to promotional emails.
Only send material relevant to the enquiry. A calculator issue can usually be explained with a page URL, numerical inputs and the expected result, without identifying the property or its occupants. If you want an earlier message reviewed or deleted, identify it sufficiently for us to locate it. Email providers process transmission and storage according to their own terms and policies.
14. Purposes and applicable legal grounds
The purpose depends on the interaction: delivering a requested page, running a calculation locally, responding to a message, protecting the site, remembering a privacy choice or supporting advertising when enabled. Where data protection law requires a legal basis, the appropriate basis depends on the specific processing and applicable law. For example, responding to correspondence or protecting service availability may involve legitimate interests where available and subject to the relevant balancing requirements.
Where consent is required for storage or advertising-related processing, consent must be obtained through the relevant interface rather than inferred from this policy. Compliance with legal obligations or the establishment and defense of legal claims may also require processing in particular circumstances. These grounds are not interchangeable permission to disregard a consent choice; independent providers describe their own purposes and grounds in their notices.
15. Recipients and external services
Depending on the services enabled and the interaction, information can be handled by hosting and network providers, security providers, email providers, consent-management providers, Google and participating advertising providers. Access may also be necessary to comply with a binding legal requirement or address misuse or a dispute. A provider’s role depends on the activity; not every provider is acting under the same instructions or for the same purposes.
The site does not operate a marketplace for your saved calculator projects. Advertising-related disclosures can still involve third-party processing and may be subject to regional sale, sharing or targeted-advertising rules even without a direct payment for a data record. Provider lists and choices should be examined in the active advertising and consent disclosures, rather than assuming every partner has identical practices.
16. Privacy rights and regional requests
Depending on your location, the applicable law and our processing, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, a portable copy of information, or to object to certain processing. You may also be able to withdraw consent and complain to the competent data protection authority. Rights are subject to their legal conditions and exceptions; not every request applies to every record or provider.
Send requests to Bau3yvzAn6995@gmail.com. Describe the interaction, relevant dates and information involved. We may need proportionate verification before disclosing or changing information associated with another person. We do not require an account to make a request and should not need unrelated sensitive documents for an ordinary enquiry. Where a request cannot be fulfilled, the applicable requirements determine the explanation and any review or appeal options.
We cannot retrieve local-only calculator values that were never sent to us. For information held independently by Google, your hosting environment or another provider, its own privacy-request channels may be necessary. We will respond to requests concerning information within our control in accordance with applicable requirements.
17. US state choices and browser preference signals
Where applicable US state privacy laws provide rights, these can include access, correction, deletion, portability and choices concerning sale, sharing or targeted advertising. Applicability depends on the law and the relevant business and processing conditions. We do not represent that every visitor or every website is covered by the same state-law provisions. You can email a request or enquiry about the processing associated with this site.
Advertising providers may offer regional messages or restricted processing options. When advertising begins, any required opt-out mechanisms and recognized preference-signal handling must be configured for the actual services used. The current site has no advertising integration and does not claim that a Do Not Track header or Global Privacy Control signal automatically changes a live ad configuration. Browser signals, provider opt-outs and site controls should not be assumed to have identical effects. No loss of access to the free calculators is imposed by this policy merely for making a privacy request.
18. Retention and deletion
Different information has different lifetimes. Temporary comparison values remain in page memory; downloaded exports remain where you save them; shared links remain in the places where they are copied or stored. We do not maintain a server-side account history of those local estimates. Deleting a local file or shared message is an action controlled by its device or service, rather than by this website.
Correspondence and operational records may need to remain available to resolve an enquiry, protect the site, document a request or meet an applicable obligation. The relevant purpose, service settings and legal requirements determine retention; this policy does not invent a universal number of days for providers whose settings have not been established. Advertising and consent providers describe their own storage and retention in their notices. Contact us about a specific record so its handling can be assessed.
19. International processing and security
Internet hosting, email and advertising services can involve infrastructure in countries other than your own. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, the appropriate safeguards depend on the provider, transfer and legal framework. This policy does not claim that all site-related information stays in one country or that a particular transfer mechanism has been implemented by an unconfigured service.
We aim to limit unnecessary collection and use appropriate safeguards for the information we handle. You should also protect your device, email account and exported files, and use the HTTPS version of the deployed website. No network transmission, email service or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. If you believe a message or link has exposed private information, contact us with enough context to investigate without sending additional sensitive material unnecessarily.
20. Children, external links and photography
JICWH is a general-audience home project planning resource. It does not provide a child account service or ask children to submit personal information through a calculator. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact the privacy email with the relevant details so that the issue can be reviewed and addressed as appropriate. This policy does not assert that age has been verified for every visitor.
External reference links, photo source pages and advertiser destinations are operated independently. Opening them initiates a visit governed by their own practices. Photographs displayed within JICWH pages are served as website image files; viewing the local image alone does not request it from its original photo-hosting service. Clicking a source or license link does visit the external destination.
21. Changes and further information
We may update this policy as site features, service providers or applicable requirements change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. Material changes should be communicated in the manner required for the relevant circumstances, and any new consent requirement must be handled through the appropriate mechanism rather than only by changing text on this page.
For questions about this policy, an inaccessible privacy control or a request concerning your information, email Bau3yvzAn6995@gmail.com. Google’s publisher privacy disclosure guidance and certified consent management requirements provide additional background about the advertising disclosures discussed here.
22. Optional project storage and cutting receipts
When you explicitly choose Save to project, JICWH stores the estimate’s numerical inputs, result metrics, formula, save time and optional project label in local storage on this browser. This differs from the temporary comparison feature. Saved projects persist across visits until removed or browser storage is cleared. The current project feature does not send these saved estimates to a JICWH server or cloud account.
The Project planner can export a JSON backup or CSV report, import a JSON backup and remove saved estimates. Other people using the same browser profile may have access. Do not put personal or sensitive information in project labels. Export a backup before clearing browser data; JICWH cannot recover deleted local-only estimates. Mixed-length cutting calculations run in the browser; receipts are downloaded only when requested.
