Concrete Calculator
A concrete order starts with the shape of the space being filled. This calculator handles rectangular pads, solid round pads and hollow cylinders, so a patio and a circular equipment base do not have to be approximated in the same way.
Concrete & MasonryConcrete Slab Calculator
A slab with a thickened edge contains more concrete than its floor area multiplied by the central thickness. Use this tool when a drawing specifies a uniform interior slab and a deeper band around all four sides. It calculates the perimeter band without counting the corner areas twice.
Concrete & MasonryConcrete Footing Calculator
Footing takeoffs often combine a continuous strip under a wall with separate pads under posts. This calculator keeps those two quantities visible so you can compare them with a drawing or supplier quote. Enter the total measured strip length, its specified cross section, and the number and dimensions of any square pads.
Concrete & MasonryPost Hole Concrete Calculator
Fence and deck posts displace concrete inside their holes, and a drainage layer takes up part of the excavation depth. This calculator accounts for both rather than filling the entire cylinder on paper. Choose a square or round post and enter its actual size, not a nominal lumber name.
Concrete & MasonryConcrete Steps Calculator
A solid poured stair is a stack of rectangular volumes, not a single block measured at its maximum height. This calculator adds those stepped volumes and optionally includes a separate full-height top landing. It is intended for quantity planning when the stair geometry has already been established.
Concrete & MasonryConcrete Bag Calculator
Two bags with different weights are not automatically interchangeable, and the lower shelf price may not produce the cheaper concrete order. This comparison uses the placed volume printed on each package to calculate whole bags for a known project volume.
Concrete & MasonryRebar Grid Calculator
This rebar calculator estimates an orthogonal grid in a rectangular slab after subtracting concrete cover at both ends. It rounds the number of spaces up so the actual grid spacing does not exceed the spacing entered. Bars longer than available stock are split into segments with an entered lap allowance.
Concrete & MasonryConcrete Block Calculator
Concrete blocks are usually ordered by nominal face coverage rather than their measured solid dimensions. This tool estimates units from a wall’s gross area, subtracts doors or other openings, and adds a breakage allowance. A separate optional core-fill calculation uses an entered fill volume per installed block.
Concrete & MasonryBrick Calculator
A brick wall’s coverage depends on both the brick face and the mortar joint. This calculator builds the modular face from your actual brick dimensions plus the joint, then estimates the number of bricks for the net wall area. It is useful for facing-brick purchase planning when comparing sizes or joint widths.
Concrete & MasonryMortar Calculator
Mortar consumption changes with unit size, joint thickness, laying technique and whether units are solid or hollow. Rather than imply that one universal volume ratio fits every wall, this calculator uses the coverage stated for your chosen mortar and masonry combination.
Concrete & MasonryPaver Calculator
A patio with a contrasting border has two material orders: the field units inside the border and the border units around it. This calculator subtracts the border band from the total rectangle before estimating field pavers. Border units are then counted by their entered coverage along the perimeter, making the assumption visible rather than mixing both sizes in one area rate.
Concrete & MasonryPaver Base Calculator
The base under a paved area can extend beyond the visible pavers, while bedding sand usually follows the paved footprint. This calculator treats those layers separately and distinguishes their compacted in-place volumes from loose purchase quantities. Enter the finished paver rectangle, the base extension on each side and the planned layer depths.
Concrete & MasonryPolymeric Sand Calculator
Joint sand coverage varies sharply with paver size, joint width and joint depth. A narrow joint between large slabs can consume much less material per square foot than a small-unit pattern. This calculator therefore uses a product’s stated coverage range rather than pretending there is one universal sand rate.

Concrete Bags vs Ready-Mix: Build a Quantity-Based Comparison
The useful question is not whether bagged concrete or ready-mix is always cheaper. It is which suitable product can deliver the required placed volume for your particular project, at an understandable total cost. A small pad can be an awkward ready-mix order because delivery minimums matter; a larger slab can turn an inexpensive bag price into a substantial mixing and handling task.

A paver patio contains several different material quantities, and they cannot be estimated reliably by multiplying the patio area by one universal coverage number. Aggregate base is a volume, bedding sand is another volume, field pavers are an area-based unit order and jointing sand depends heavily on the joints and product.
